SHADOW PAYMENT PROCESSING

Although other arrangements can be made, payments from taxpayers are usually directed to the client’s tax collection office. Revenue Services performs a review and reconciliation of the payment posting file and parallel posts payments to its collection system shadowing the client’s books and records.  This allows Revenue Services to identify any processing and posting issues for the client.
